I got a dash cam from Walmart - Anker ROAV A0 for about $50. A year ago! I use it. There is also an app so you can watch or download video clips to your phone. It's good enough for me that I feel spending more $$ is a waste.

Mount any camera towards the top center of your windshield using a suction cup mount. That will keep it out of your "obstructing my view" area.

A friend said that for fifty bucks each, mount two more cameras so you can get each side of the truck!

Watch for this: one company I worked for offered a $1000 (one thousand dollar) bounty if you have an accident (your blame or someone else) and you have a video of it.

Update : I ended up grabbing an Apeman C450. $50 and serves the purpose

Thanks again for the input

Do any of you use dash cams on your personal vehicle?

Yes, I refuse to drive unless it's running.

Check out the Rexing V1 on Amazon. Excellent dash cam and won't send you to the poorhouse!

I have this one too, TM. I got it for protection in case I was involved in an accident, but have really enjoyed using it for entertainment purposes. I’ll see something interesting while driving and jot down the time; after parked for the night I’ll pop out the chip and copy the video onto my laptop. I’ve shown my family a ton of footage as there is, as you know, never a shortage of interesting things to see on the road.
