Speaking of cabins in the woods, here’s mine.
That's a proper cabin. I'm jealous.
It’s a work in progress for the past several years. Hope to get it finished in the next five years, then live there full time.

Got indoor plumbing, or is it like a sleeper cab? Lol.
No plumbing yet, and no water well yet. The well drilling is the final “big-ticket item” on the list.
PackRat, that's really nice! What kind of wood are the logs?
This is what I spend my free time and money on.
We sacrifice a lot of "normal" things when we head out to training or OTR. Taking a nice relaxing bath anytime you feel like it, going to a movie theater or mall, or even going to dinner with a friend. We all want what we dont have, so when we see it, we get excited.
After being on the road, simple things in life excite me such as cheap laundry with front load washers. Or a free shower on the OH turnpike.
What perks your ears and eyes with excitement?
Driving.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Eastern White Pine from NC. The outside is very dirty now after exposure for the past seven years. Eventually it will be pressure washed and stained a very light color.
