Doh! Didn't know what "SF" meant or I would have redacted that. Not exactly something I want to show to my peers. Let's just say when my mind decides not to work, the difference between 04:00 and 16:00 can cause some problems. Never happened before. Although I have caught myself almost doing the same thing more than once. It's not that I'm not used to military time, I've used it on my watch since high school. I'm just afflicted by stupidity sometimes. Thanks for pointing out my error. (NOT being sarcastic) I know you were being helpful.

DAC:

Drive-A-Check Report

A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).

It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.

Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.

Eh.. it happens especially when changing divisions. Our auditor changed and people have been getting hit with service failures they shouldnt. The guy is still in training. The FM has 6 months to remove it. The computer puts them on and the person investigates. I have 2 right now but was assured they would be removed soon. I am do for a new diamond darn it... and they are screwing me up! One I picked up and dropped at the terminal. The delivery driver was late and they gave me the SF. The other was a weatger shutdown thing.

Better I point it out than some moron next month. And I didnt know.what it meant until a month ago cause i never have one hahhaha

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
