Sorry I haven't been on for awhile,been in the swift school in Richmond VA. Time for an update for everyone yesterday was the start of my fourth week and today was my DMV driving test. After 3 long weeks and a lot of studying I passed all my test, so as of right now I'm a CDL holder. I would like thank trucking truth for all information they provided to help me get to this point .
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.

It's a major accomplishment for sure, but it's just the beginning. Hang in there. There's plenty more challenging days ahead. This is a very rewarding career, but many fall short of achieving success at it. Keep your head in the game. Don't get distracted by the frustrations you'll encounter. Always feel free to vent in here or ask us for advice. We've all walked in your shoes. We are happy to help you along the way.

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
