Transgenders have been using public restrooms of their own choosing all along without any of us knowing it. This is really a non-issue that's that's been pushed out onto the public sphere by a very small segment of the transgender population that are activists. I have transgender friends and I support their rights, just like everyone else's, and they deserve not to be harrassed. Most of them want to quietly go about their business without drawing unwanted attention just like any person does in their everyday life.

Double-edged sword here. Sadly - the activist portion of the community has pushed them into the spotlight - somewhere a majority of them didn't necessarily want to be.

I live right next to the largest concentration gay community outside of the SF Bay Area (Wilton Manors, FL), and believe me - it can be a LITERAL FREAKSHOW in my neck of the woods on a saturday night. So I have developed some tolerance and even some sympathy.

But it's EQUAL RIGHTS - NOT SPECIAL RIGHTS. And those rights shouldn't come at the expense of the RIGHTS OF OTHERS - even those that don't subscribe/endorse the beliefs of others (Bakery in Colorado for example).

And obviously - there are people that take advantage of the rights afforded to the trans community, to be places where they don't belong (like womens restrooms/locker rooms) and compromise the safety and privacy of women.

Similarly - 11 year old "drag queens" performing for a room of adults - is CHILD ABUSE, yet in todays media/society, are hailed as HERO'S.

Not sure what's happened in this country in the last dozen years - but a large majority of folks JUST DON'T CARE FOR IT. The others are either beaten into silence, or just so driven to appear "woke" or "politically correct" that they co-sign this stuff so they don't get labeled as "homophobe or intolerant".

I personally could CARE LESS who people choose to love - that's THEIR BUSINESS. And if you want to get "surgically altered" - as an ADULT, again - their business.

But these rights and tolerance, shouldn't come at the expense of the rights/security/privacy of EVERYONE ELSE.

I will state directly and unapologetically that if you were not born a woman, you do not belong in a woman's restroom; nor do women who identify as male belong in a men's restroom.

Free will is what separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom - and probably gets us in the most trouble (as a species).

But the flipside is GENETICS & BIOLOGY. With the (somewhat) rare exceptions in DNA, genetics are GENETICS. As are sex-organs.

From a "philosophical standpoint" - most folks could care less what an ADULT DECIDES to do with their genitals. We could debate the "woman stuck in a mans body", until the cows go MOOO.

For the sake of the conversation - most women (regardless of how "enlightened" they claim to be) would not care to have members of the opposite biological sex, share the same private spaces WITHOUT THEIR CHOICE. (free will - right?).

As much as this does (or doesn't apply) to the TG movement - the opening of these LEGAL DOORS, creates an issue for those who support the community IN THEORY, but resent having to sacrifice their own privacy & security to do so.

I know a number of TG's that live totally as women, a few are even pretty cute. They haven't sacrificed their organs - and realize no matter how much they want to "be women", as long as they have MALE ORGANS - they ARE NOT TRULY WOMEN.

As much as the "feminazi's" want to claim their equality - they still want the deference and respect that women have been afforded (by decent people) since time immemorial.

We are at any "anything goes" destruction of the "moral/civil contract" in society, that we have operated under for millenia. Much as I support and sympathize with "the cause", not when it means the sacrifice of what the VAST MAJORITY HOLDS DEAR.

As a woman i think the whole "gender neutral" stuff is BS. Now Berkley is removing "manhole" and all other "man/gender" references from all policies and publications. That is stupid. And it makes women look bad. My identity of a woman is not in the word, that BTW, it is now being changed to "womyn" because these idiots dont want "man" in "woman". If that isnt hate i dont know what is.

I also find it ironic that Alyssa Milano and other Womens Rights advocates don't find it offensive that men can switch to women. The Transgender concept destroys the entire womens rights movement. Think about it, "Men get such privilege and rights in this country that we need to fight for ours"..... but somehow men are choosing to become part of the oppressed women class? How could that be if men have it so much better? And women are becoming men, basically saying "being a woman sucks, so im switching".

Regardless of feelings, our experiences biologically are always going to be different. A transgender woman is never going to know what it felt like to get her period for the first time, panic she might be pregnant, and deal with a ton of other womens bio issues. Some women who trans to men are shocked of womens behavior. Women expect to be treated special while demanding equality

I don't care what people do. Get surgery, be happy. Just pick a freaking gender and be it. stop shoving it down peoples throats. And as Rick said, activist of any group often bring attention and become the voice to which many in their community disagree. So all of the forced societal pushing is not necessarily what all want, only a select few.

I don't know if i believe a gun was pulled. My TnT was just beginning male to female transition when I got on her truck. I was nervous at first thinking I would need to be on heightened awareness in case of threats or attack. No one even noticed. People care a lot less about what others are doing than what the media wants us to think. We have a very very "vocal" trans at Prime who constantly pushes the trans (not LGBTQ, but trans) agenda. Prime has been very accepting of trans but this person had to "demand it be policy to reject discrimination of trans people". Great it made her feel better, but it wasnt happening anyway and if it did there would be lawsuits, so it was a useless dog and pony show which made her feel validated.

As far as being raped in a bathroom, if i am in the bathroom, guess what.... i came in there for a reason. He will be covered in urine and feces before he leaves and quite identifiable with my smell and DNA all over him.

I love men, but in 50 years, calling someone a "man" will be as offensive as the "n word" thanks to a lot of weird political correctness.

I didn’t say that I agree with it, personally I think the whole gender crap today is ridiculous.

But as far as bathrooms, I could care less, I’m doing my thing and leaving, and I don’t care who is in there.

I do see how women would feel threatened by men in the ladies room though.

If something stinks like sh**, looks like sh**, I avoid stepping in it and too damn bad if it offends someone who elevates their rights above mine just because I’m heterosexual, love woman, fear God, believe in the death penalty, hate communism, eat meat and will always (hopefully) stand while I pee.

I have actually thought of running for office in the past. But you are right, I wouldn't win. I used to volunteer on campaigns and at the polls even in high school. The first debate I remember watching was Reagan, Carter, and Anderson. I was 5 years old.

Those other men and women are either: a) your husband, wife, son, daughter, boyfriend or girlfriend, and b) you are in YOUR own home, not a public restroom where you are near strangers that you do not know.

I don't know if you guys heard about this or not, but I have uncovered a VAST, wide reaching conspiracy involving gender neutral bathrooms.

THEY HAVE PUT THEM IN ALMOST EVERY ONE OF OUR HOMES!!! Right under our noses - bathrooms that both men and women use everyday!
