Finally meet my hero, the legendary Turtle.
It was worth the death-defying, rain pelting, deer dodging bike ride down there too. Nice to finally meet you, Rob. Next time it's:
"At dawn we ride!

Ha yup that's my bike hat that lives in the saddle bag. Still gotta represent!

That's part of his new flatbed persona. You know, tough as nails and all that.

Packrat made the same comment about my serious demeanor.
Is this better?

No.
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Our friend Rob has been crossing the country doing his TNT training with Prime. He's met a few of us out on the road, and today he and I happened to be picking up at the same Hydro plant in Cressona, PA. I was taking a break in my truck when I noticed some dude approaching with a big grin on his face. It was Rob, who had already recognized me, and came to make his acquaintance.
I always enjoy meeting you guys, but for some reason I especially enjoy meeting the new flatbedders. Here's our mug shot...
Rob, I really enjoyed it! I look forward to a time when you are solo and we can take the time to enjoy a meal together and talk shop. Keep up the great work - you're doing an awesome job out there.
Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.
The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.
The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14ยข per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.
That's just great. I was in and out of that Hydro plant so often for a couple years, yet was never able to run into you, Old School.
Rob isn't even solo yet, and he's already tracked you down. I think you're slipping.
