I think you're slipping.

That's quite possible. I'm kind of stuck here doing a 34. Normally I would have rolled on out of here with my load. Not today - I've run out my 70 like some rookie!

I did get a lot done this past week, and my dispatcher complimented me on how I managed my clock, but here I am having to take a break. I'll make the most of it though. We can't run like crazy all the time. We need a little break thrown in now and then.

Dispatcher:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

That's a fact. And when the break is the result of running your tail off, it is earned with honor I think.

I run 14 hr days pretty consistently now, so I feel no guilt whatsoever in having a couple days off each week.

Well, I may have tipped him off this morning. I saw your location, and I knew where he and the trainer were heading to get their next load. I texted him to, "be on the lookout for Old School."

Glad you two were able to meet.

I'm sure you are right PackRat. He had barely pulled into the parking lot and spotted me sitting in my truck. It was fun. You guys make me feel like a celebrity. It's crazy having truck drivers looking for you. I've met so many of you, but it's extra special when it's a "chance meeting" like this.

Incidentally, I'm no celebrity. I'm just a truck driver of little consequence. But... I do enjoy meeting you guys.

They didn't have a load and I'm home til Monday so we weren't in a real rush. It was fun! PJs a character!

PJ and Laura (IDMtnGal) meeting up in Jerome, ID. We were at the Pilot in Mtn Home at the same time....tho they got in late and I had to leave early. So we met down the road.

Above in my response to Old School I said I didn't know PJs girlfriend's name. I found it in my text messages. It was fun meeting PJ and Colleen today.

That's awesome! I'm so glad you guys got to meet each other. I've been active here for a good while, but I still think it's really cool when our members get to meet each other out there on the road.

Good morning, It was a pleasure for us to meet up Laura. We had a great time. OS you are a legend, not of your direct making, but by your willingness to help folks. We are all kinda like extended family here.

Rob D & Soug D. went to Lambert's for dinner. I think he's got the perfect personality to be a truck driver. And seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders. Looking forward to hearing about his journey
