While looking at the GPS locator, I discovered I have Dennis L, Ryan B and Drew all within 250 miles west of me. Maybe one of them could end up meeting up with each other or me.

Be safe out there going across Wyoming. No precipitation coming out of the sky yesterday but with winds blowing snow, there were many wrecks yesterday and it's starting again today. I'm in Sidney NE getting ready to head out for the day. Be safe everyone.

Laura

Not going to lie that with this wind blowing my truck around while parked, I am focused hard on how quickly I can get through this without too much of a delay. I am 78K, so I am hoping to be heavy enough to make it through tonight. My plan is to get to Underwood, IA to park in the early hours of the morning.

Laura, how is the wind over there in NE? I know weather doesn't pay attention to political borders.

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you, I tried but I couldn't sign into Trucking Truth and right now I can't see any photos. I booted my phone several times and finally this morning I shut it off for 15 minutes before starting it. I can sign in now but like I said no pictures....all those links are broken.

I really didn't run into strong winds until Arlington WY, exit 272 and west. East from there was breezy but not bad and Nebraska didn't have anything going when I left yesterday. So I hope you had a good run last night. I'm now in Wendover with 608 miles to do to the port. Hopefully I can park near Vallejo and take it on in after my 10 is up in the morning.

Not your fault. There was an issue with the site for a few hours.

Just a little bit of wind when I first crossed over into NE. Otherwise, it was smooth and easy. I parked for a short nap on the first half of a split just after midnight. I am about to finish the 2nd half of that split now.

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Bruce,

I see you are at Fort Morgan just a bit ago. Are you still there? There are two Helwigs here at the Love's in Brush CO.

If you are waiting on a load, I'm not that far from you at Brush. After I get my shower I can run back up the road and meet up with you for a little bit. My load at Lexington NE won't be ready until late afternoon or sometime during the evening tomorrow.

If you want to meet up, send me a text message. My number is in the bio area.

Thanks, Laura. This is a good example of how it’s difficult to meet up on the road. We are only 10 miles from each other, but I’m stuck here at Cargill waiting to get a loaded trailer and head east. I’ve been here since 20:00 yesterday, and they say the trailer should be loaded soon, but they have until midnight. So, that’s just the nature of the beast. Deadlines and commitments!

Pianoman and myself met up at Cheyenne. We're both on the 80 quite a bit. Definitely cool to meet, grab a meal, compare rigs and setups. I'm the one on the left
