Truckers are now turning into Youtubers as a side hustle because they’re not making enough money as a truck driver. And they all said the same thing

As many videos as some of these guys make and as long as some of the videos are makes me wonder how they have time to do any actual truck driving.

I don't think it is correct though. You can not just survive only with this YouTube channel. Probably these truckers who starts YouTube think that they can make money but you won't make that much. "A video creator can make roughly $2000 for every million views and YouTube will take 45% from that". I have not seen any trucker with that many views every week. I know Junior Honduras from Prime makes decent money but that is becuase most of his YouTube followers write his name as referral.

This has kind of become a thing with several guys from my company, and some of them do pretty well with referrals. My problem with most of them is after a week solo, they think they are qualified to give advice about living in the road, or after having secured five whole loads in the real world, they are qualified to make “instructional” videos. Have seen more bad, inaccurate, and unsafe info from these guys than I can believe.

The running joke in the company is if you want a new truck, start making YouTube videos, the company likes to look good on social media.

I can’t even find time to watch TV unless I do a 34 on the road. I have to a of clips from my dash cam, no time to even post any of those.

I have been thinking of doing videos just cause I am cute and funny. Sometimes I can even be sweet. Who knows. I was hoping to pop up on my moms TV screen lol

Of course, i am.sure youz guyz would tell me if i suck hahhaha

You can get business cards from recruiting with your driver code for referrals. i know lease ops who pass out the cards at truck stops and make $10k per year or more from referrals.

Every companys bonus program is different though.

Sorry.... I'm a guy who loves women. I don't watch soap operas. Whether they're called "Y&R" or "Little dumb azz trucker." rofl-2.gif
