I PASSED!!!
Wrapping up some paperwork then heading home!
3 whirlwind weeks of 0500-1600.
I received my comdata card and am waiting to discover my mentor. Then back to the hotel.
I’ll update more when I know it.

Hello TT,
I was officially hired 10/8. Some running around, getting my license upgraded, etc.
I’m scheduled to start with a mentor on Monday! It will be regional heavy haul. Hopefully it goes well. I’m still planning on OTR.
Cheers,
G
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
Congrats. Safe travels and keep us updated when you have time.

This is very true. I have met so many interesting people out here. This whole industry is very diverse. There is diversity in so many forms - there's nationalities, backgrounds, cultures, personalities, and many other ways we are diverse. I've never worked in any other capacity where I've encountered so many different types of folks all doing there best to accomplish the same goals.
