Marc, in answer to your question, I had my CDL before I started training at Schneider. I went to Diesel Driving School in Sun Prairie, WI because at that time I needed to be home every night and the school was nearby. Schneider had shut down their CDL program and were only accepting trainees who had already gotten the CDL.

Marc, I just would have liked to get the extra week so I could hone my shifting. Upshifting, no problem. Down shifting was where I needed more work. But that should be a moot point for you since I will be surprised if they train you in a manual.
