Sure is pure scenery with the snow and few small towns as I drove along US 2 along the North shore of Lake Michigan. Very nice.
No time for salmon fishing though.

Transiting from Riverton, WY to Sheridan, WY yesterday afternoon. I was driving through a hamlet on US-20, following the posted "Truck Route" signs. At some point I ended up on US-14....The Scenic Route. This is a gorgeous drive through the mountains between Shell and Dayton, WY.
Don't travel this route during snow season is my recommendation, though. On this 40 mile drive, the road was snow and ice for 30 miles, 20-25 mph curves, then the downhill for 10+ miles from the Granite Pass summit of 9,033 feet.

Prior to my self-detour on US-14 (The Bighorn Scenic Byway) yesterday, these three tunnels are encountered on US-287.
Later in the journey to Riverton, WY on WY-789, there is a two mile stretch of 9% downgrade. This one is also not recommended when there's snow covering the roads. It's steeper than the photo implies, but the view is incredible.
I get a kick out of watching these cranes stack shipping containers like they're Legos
Not too often you see an LTL driver laying on their side. First time I've seen it be UPS.
Crazy thing is it wasn't even that bad at that point. This happened about a mile from the exit I take to get home. Got lucky and beat the storm home, ill be heading out just after it finishes.
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.
