I found this KW VIT pulling a 5th wheel rv while staying in a campground in Crossville Tn. It looks like he removed the tandems for a single rear wheel set up and installed an rv style 5th wheel. I didn't know how to download photos so I asked PackRat to do it for me. I'll try and talk to the owner and if I get any info I'll post back here.
Thanks PackRat, navypoppop
That's bad ARSKE, good sir!
Brett has a 'Vimeo' at the bottom, with instructions for posting pix ... Pack Rat & Rob T. taught me. I taught BK.

Anne, I forgot what you taught me. Can you teach me again every day? Lol!
A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".

Not me Anne! It seems like this KW has a very long wheelbase, the tandems were removed and the single axle installed. I believe he said that he is hoping to put a 4 wheeler onto the area behind the cab. Now I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a single axle Mack R model as my tow vehicle but I am totally satisfied with my Ram 2500 w/6.4 hemi doing a fine job.
Yeah, that wheelbase is INSANE, Navy!!! Your HEMI is just fine, haha!! I've got a pic of that Mack in my gallery; I hear ya there!

I snapped this one while stopped on I-30 in Dallas this morning.
What do you see different?
57’?
53 is enough for me. Don’t need the extra 4 feet.
I hope I never get used to the view from my office.
Saw this 1958 Ranchero at the McDonald's parking lot this morning.
Found an unauthorized passenger on my dolly this morning.
