I'm going to put a comment in here for us "old guys". Truck driving was a dream of mine for many years. I thought
it was time to pull the trigger, so I did it. It was a perfect fit for me at age 66. Unfortunately, life threw me a curve
ball. Now I'm off the road for a time I can't predict. Driving was much easier than what I'm doing now. Much less
stress on the body, much more predictable, much more routine (which is what I liked).
The other thing, driving a truck is a perfect fit for older people. Even if you have aching joints, it's not that hard to
get in and out of the truck and do the pre-trips and coupling/decoupling, etc., required. I certainly look forward to
the time I can get back in the driver's seat again and drive into the sunset.
