Lease?
Tankers from the start?
Trainer after 6 months?
Did lots of research?
My answer for all the above is NO!
Do a site search on hear for lease (pronounced FLEECE). Yhat should keep you occupied for about 17 days on every reason NOT to fall for that fairytale.
Here in CT, I've seen DOT physicals range from about $50 to $150. Most Doc in a Box places (walk in medical centers) charge about $70-$100. Also, check with your PCP's office to see if someone in their office is on the DOT registry and can do it as your annual physical. If you are planning on going to a private CDL school, they may offer the physical as part of your tuition. If you are going to a company sponsored program, they should either pay for it when you get there and before you get your permit, or they may send you a doc in the box that does them in your area so you can get your permit in your home state.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
Okay I have a neighbor who is telling me the cost for the Physical exam is going to cost me a 1000 bucks, is there any truth or a lying ??? i live in PA
I paid 50. All they do is check your heart pressure and ask you some questions...
