Isn't it like 115° there in the summer, though? Tradeoffs...
Congratulations! You are in the enviable position of having done it right.
It sounds like you have people in the area you’re looking to go.
You WILL make a great decision.

Bobcat, the way you describe your concerns:
This is a decision only you can decide. You have already considered things, from your acceptability to the Tucson office, to seniority.
For further help in deciding, read some tea leaves, throw some joss sticks* in the air, and see if the next dog to cross in front of your truck is black/dark or white/light. Then make your decision that you can be comfortable with.
Personnally I have moved way across the country twice and both times I didn't regret the moves. But that's me. Make your own decision.
*I have no idea what joss sticks are, but I do know they are for fortune telling.
TWIC:
Transportation Worker Identification Credential
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
