Well I'm going to be gone for about a week.. I've been having some troubles back home with family. (This job does take its toll and then some).. Wife and I have been talking and think its best if I took some time off to be with my kids for spring brake and to be with her at night.. I'm also going to be looking for something local. Either as a driver, or get into a shop for mechanic work. I just need to take my ASE exams and upon completion I'd be a Master Technician in the automotive industry. Thats what I was working on prior to going to Swift.. I love this job, I love the sights and people, but its adding a hudge level of stress to my life. This next week Im devoting my days to job searching/being with kids. Hoping to treat my wife to a wonderful night out and make it about her too. Feel bad for not being there to assist in the daily duties of husban/father hood. I just wanted to give you all an update. I havn't been around a lot lately either and this is mostley why. Don't worry, Im still alive. dancing-dog.gifdancing-dog.gifdancing-dog.gif

I just wanted to say to all the new guys/girls, If your in a relationship (long/short term) keep that communication line open and available at all times.. If it wasn't for that, my wife I wouldn't be together. It goes along way in this industry. Not only with your other half, but with your DM/FM.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Well that's a tough situation for sure and I'm glad you're going to take some time to relax with the family and explore other options. Finding something that keeps you home with the family would be great indeed!
