I actually thought it was Jackson Browne for a long time until I found this:

...you were mistaken to question my knowledge or advice... But I can tell you one thing for certain; what you'll find is that I'm not in the business of being wrong. That's not being arrogant. That's just the result of spending my entire adult life in this industry.

It is no less evident that Brett et al (Kearsey, Rob, people that I haven't mentioned) here have a huge passion for trucking, and more importantly, helping each other out. It definitely shows in the quality of the website as a whole as well as everyone's contributions to things like CDL diaries and intellectually stimulating responses. Like any good family, any good HUMAN for that matter, sometimes things may get a bit heated. Or in the sense of an online community where it is challenging to read the tone of a post, things may appear to get heated. But at the end of the day, I feel like I can speak for many people by saying that we (maybe not me as I am newer, lol) hold each others success in high regards. This community is greater than the sum of its parts. Even with the lively discussion at times.

Not to get all preachy, lol, but from the Good Book Proverbs 27:17 like iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

And on that note and back to our regularly scheduled programming, thanks for sharing that picture, Jamie! I am a Phoenix native, but really haven't ventured out to the tucked away gems that may be slightly off the beaten path. I never knew that statue was there, but have always wanted to go see Winslow. Maybe I'll make it a weekend trip here sooner than later.

CDL:

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

...if you happen to get to Winslow, check out the La Pasada Inn. It's a converted Harvey House that is like walking into a time capsule.

Good news is I'm going to drive about 2800-2900 miles before the end of the pay period, but bad news is I'm only getting paid for 2000 miles for this week, as my current load will be paid during my next check since it delivers past the deadline.

I drove 601 miles today, could've made it to 650 but the next truck stop was to far. Good news is, I will be delivering my load tomorrow night in Goodyear, AZ two days ahead of the appointment time. Bad news is, both of my tractor mud flaps flew off today. rofl-2.gif

Parked for my 10 hour break in NM, leaving out tonight. The pilot didnt have any mud flaps but I plan to pick some up from the loves tonight before I get back on the interstate.

Interstate:
