It might help you to write out the pre trip several times on paper. Write it in the same order every time. It helped me learn the pre trip before I ever even saw a truck.
For backing, I didn't get as much practice as I thought I needed while in school. When it was time to test I figured I had a 50/50 chance at passing. I got lucky and passed.
I passed pre trip and backing first try. Driving (which I was very confident about) took me two tries. I hopped a curb on my first turn and that was it for my first attempt.
I dont know of many, if any, people who are totally confident going into their CDL tests. Try to keep a positive attitude.

Hey guys I'm doing weekend training we already have permits but we've been in class last two weekends watching videos taking tests were set to get out on truck next weekend my question is how many times did it take you guys to learn the pre trip,backing and road I'm better at hands on so watching you tube pre trip videos the information dosent really stick also how long before you felt confident in passing and also how many times did it take you guys to pass skills?
