Tell the truth, all of it, every single time. If asked verbally, or a space on an application, “Have you EVER been convicted of a crime?”, or “Have you been found guilty of a felony or misdemeanor in the past XXX years”, write down the facts. It’s best to get told no prior to riding a bus for 20 hours, then being sent home after Day #1, on your dime. Most of these companies do very thorough background checks, so it WILL come out, whether you disclose it or not.
It is a good idea to be open about your history. Staying out of trouble for nine years does count for you, but companies look dimly at people who try to conceal things. They really don't need that kind of foolishness going on in their business.
Hopefully your application with CRDT will go through. Apps are looked at by real human beings, not just by a "too many check marks" system.

Hello , I recently applied to a few places having a 15 year old felony for burglary CRST sent it up for review I was approved . Problem is I have a lot more on my record all most recent being 9 years old . Receiving stolen property, dui , criminal trespass doesn’t look to good I didn’t disclose everything just the most serious reason being it’s a lot of little charges again my record is clear for 9 years I had a drug problem when I was younger . I operated my own business for the last 7 years I’m a changed man that is why it is so embarrassing to bring all this up . My question is when he sends this back up for review is it going to be bad that I didn’t include it all ? I talked with cdi today and told them everything she says she don’t see it being an issue with my employment history and the record being so old . How do you handle this situation in the future?
