Oh boy! Here comes a whole new set of challenges!
I have every confidence in you. You're rocking this stuff! Stay the course.
Thanks OS! You're story is definitely an inspiration! I so appreciate all your help!
Awesome! I look forward to hearing more as your journey continues
There's a saying of "Forget what you have leaned when you start here." This does not apply in trucking. Actually, you will find all the previously "hard" stuff is insignificant now that you will be driving in traffic, and backing into unfamiliar docking situations - for quite a while. But you will handle the transition with the aid of your instructor driver. Best of luck! We are open 24/7 for any questions!
Congrats, now the real hard work begins. Looking forward to your adventures. Stay focused and ya’ll got this
Thank you Errol, Rob, Marc and PJ!!
I got proactive and asked around on the Facebook US Xpress pages and found a guy that I think is going to be a good trainer!! His words " I train drivers it makes no difference to me male or female. I have one requirement that you want to learn and do things the correct way." He even gave me his current trainee's number and I called and talked with her, she said he has been great! So I just hope the coordinator can make it work with him!! He has a friend that could possibly work for my husband so it seems to be coming together!!
I'm happy for you, Amber. I wish you much success at US Xpress.
Congratulations to you both on taking another big step. Listen, absorb, ask questions, and lots of practice when you get out there with your trainers. The time will go by quickly, but at the same time, some days will be endless.

Yay! We did it!

I want to say thank you to everyone here for all the great information and support! I feel like without this site and forum I would be more intimidated and unsure about this career choice. You guys have really helped me feel inspired and excited to take on the challenges we will now face thru training and in our first year. THANK YOU!!!
Will keep y'all up to date on our progress!
