I'm not an owner op, but if I am not mistaken you're simply paying for the insurances the company uses, which most mega carriers are self insured. But since you would be working under primes authority in this example, they will have a say so on who gets hired and who doesn't.
Even if you had your own authority and insurances via a insurance company, the insurance company still had a big say so on who gets hired and who doesn't.
As an O/O yes. As a Lease driver, no at most places. Big difference between the two.
