Hike to a water fall in a rain forest along the snoqualmie river

1. park at TA in North Bend, WA 2. walk through a few blocks thru a neighborhood 3. pay day use permit at kiosk at trail head. 4. take a hike

Great advice James!

How long is that hike?

For someone in reasonable shape, probably 4 hours round trip, about 4 miles, but taking an uber to the trail head could also be an option allowing for more time at the river or hiking further on past the water fall

Shaw Nature Reserve, off Interstate 44 at Highway 100, exit 253.

There is truck parking across the street at the abandoned Diamond Inn motel, which is close enough where you could get a short hike in on a 30 minute break.

There are several trails, a wildflower garden, a sod house (Old School), and more.

TA Chicago North I94 exit 1, 1A

Directly across the road from the truckstop is a little park with a mile or two loop of relatively flat, easy trails. Really really nice walk through forest and fields. Park, walk, and roll again within an hour or two.

It'll take a little longer if you look for the geocaches that are placed there. I did :)

Love it! My contribution: Flagstaff, AZ, Little America T.S. - really nice 1 mile loop through the pines that starts behind the hotel.
