Noob- Don't forget about visiting the parts guy to replenish spare lights, wiper blades, gladhand seals, and fluids while you're at the terminal.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
I just got off the phone with my receiving department at today's delivery. I called to see if I can deliver early....
"Come on in anytime, and we'll unload you when you get here."
Love it!
Nice! Pays to try
I got an even bigger surprise. I had called the traffic office number first and left a message on the answering machine.
The boss there actually called me back!
I swear that happens about once or twice a year for me.
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Turtle you must be a popular guy with what you found

Turtle you must be a popular guy with what you found
Sorry, I had to.
Too funny.
Sadly, I haven't found it yet. Who knew it would be in Cartersville?
Based on Turtle's recommendation I created a Geocaching account and plan to explore when I get out solo.
But I will NOT be telling my wife, "Guess what I found in Cartersville, Georgia honey?"
