I keep my ears on but don't hear much but trash talk at truck stops.

The first thing I do when I get onto the exit ramp for a truck stop is turn my CB OFF. If you listen to the chatter from the parking lot, you will decrease your IQ each time.

Mine is on and I hear others occasionally, but doesn't transmit.

You won't find CB repair shops at any Loves or Flying J/Pilots. I've been looking to get mine repaired. Not many shops anywhere. :-(

The Petro in Weatherford TX has a cb shop.

The Pilot in Waco, TX has one beside it.

The Oak Grove 70 Petro in MO has one on the second floor upstairs.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Now to get back on the road.

Many thanks! If I ever get back on the road, I'll see about getting down that way.

I'm a huge proponent of having a CB. It has helped me over the years in countless ways. Many times I've watched it prevent what would certainly have been major accidents.

This is the example I always use to demonstrate how critical a CB radio is. Imagine if every single truck on the highway was listening to their CB radio. None of this would've happened.
