This is one of two identical signs identifying the entrance to National Beef in Liberal, KS

I guess it does the job even though I think it should’ve been spelled “REEFER”. At least they tried, lol.

Not a problem....just grab a yard dog to pull it out. National Beef at Dodge City and Liberal park like that frequently.

Exactly right, they park ‘em tight!

What a contrast between customers. My previous delivery was to a Walmart DC, where everything is neat and orderly. Then at National Beef, everything is completely helter-skelter. Plus, the loaded trailer I got had to be reworked because they loaded too much weight in front. That turned a simple drop and hook into a 6 hour process.

Laura knows what I’m talking about, lol.

Drop And Hook:

Drop and hook means the driver will drop one trailer and hook to another one.

In order to speed up the pickup and delivery process a driver may be instructed to drop their empty trailer and hook to one that is already loaded, or drop their loaded trailer and hook to one that is already empty. That way the driver will not have to wait for a trailer to be loaded or unloaded.

That is actually fairly common parking spacing for some of the container lots that I have been in. John Deere in Milan, myland Illinois, purina in. Clinton iowand many Other drop yards and industrial plants for containers are virtually 3 inch. Clearance on each side.. I used to lower the landing gear to about where I thought they need to be a pull in tdisconnect my lines disconnect my Coupling, and just pull forward and drop it. if if the other drivers did the same it all worked out pretty well, but usually they would park some place off by themselves. And drop what essentially turned into a high hook.
