Oh ok. I had applied to them and filled out the complete application to them about an hour ago. Hopefully they....or anyone for that matter gets back with me soon. Thanks Bruce!

Ok, so I'm replying to the original picture here about Swift. Now, I know it's meant to be a joke, but is Swift really that bad? I had applied to them and I got what I'm guessing is an automated reply from them. What makes Swift so bad if that is true?

Swift is a good company that is the butt of a lot of jokes. You would get a good start with Swift if you get an offer. Swift/Knight is just so huge that people like to make fun of them sometimes.

James, both Knight and Swift are great companies to go with. Last I knew, Knight was ramping up hiring for various reasons in spite of the devastated freight market. If either company will hire you, it's a great opportunity.

James, it's a numbers game. As the largest truckload carrier, as in most trucks on the road, it makes sense that they'd have the most incidents. Nobody's gonna know a ten truck outfit even if seven are wrecking, but when you see so many Swift, well you get the picture.

In talking with a couple members here recently, CSA scores were looked up for various companies and if I'm not mistaken Swift's numbers/percentages fared quite well.

CSA:

Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA)

The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle

It's not a funny picture but I was able to get out and about on the bike today for a couple hours between remodeling projects. I had to stop at the truck to check on something and figured I'd snap a pick. Have fun and be safe everyone.

Haha, sad but true! My grandson just drove his car from Wisconsin to Louisville, KY, this week. After he got down there, he called me and said: “Grandpa, now I know what you mean about Indiana. I think I’m going to have to get my car realigned.”
