I missed this thread then saw the title thinking you were sick!!! smdh

Diver Driver was on a shuttle.with me while students were asking me about leasing and i went on my rant. They recognized me from my YouTube channel.

Diver then saw the same student being told by a lease op that any company driver who couldnt make money leasing sucked at momey management. hahahha yeah ok

Old school... you are on a dedicated account though, with years of reputation. Diver and i have that at Prime so we are special. I feel bad for newbies who think bouncing around at companies will help them rather than building that rep.

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices

Nowadays your phone is much smaller than your face, so it's hard to hide behind. I don't envy this new generation of drivers without a newspaper to hide their faces. I know that's one way trucking has become more difficult. Terminal rats can see your face!

Brett: keep a tightly twisted band of aluminum foil handy. Wrap it around your head, just above the ears. Mumble to yourself, and occasionally say "What was that?" Look over your shoulder quite a bit. Most rats will avoid the crazy man. The crazy men, however, may find you to be a kindred spirit...

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

I once knew a guy who, in the middle of a conversation, would say “ your story has become tiresome”, turn, and walk away.

It was awesome.
