To give you an idea of how much time I've spent focusing on preparing for my second career, I mentioned sailboat fuel to my wife during our "coffee time," and said "you really can't haul sailboat fuel on a flat bed."
Her response:
"Unless you have one of those tarp support thingys."
I said: "You mean a curtain-side trailer?"
"Yep," she said.
Yes curtainside trailer. but then the load has to be in gallon ziplock bags. A lot of them!
Keep 'em coming, guys (and/or gals!) I'm LOVIN' it ... (this thread, not McD's!) :)
Don't forget to check the "A.S.H. Receptacle" during the post trip inspection.
Once complete, fill out an "I.D. 10 T." Form.
I have always gotten great fuel mileage anytime I've hauled Bowling Ball Holes.
If you're a trainer, have the trainee "pump up the airbags" on the trailer. This is accomplished by repeatedly pulling the pin release lever out. 50 to 75 times is usually enough.
Another one is to check out the serial numbers on the individual fuses each morning on the pre trip.
