The heart rate issue really has me worried
Just to make sure no one is panicking over this, your heart isn't going to slow to a crawl and then decide to stop for no reason. We have a very powerful built-in survival mechanism that isn't going to just roll over and quit. Now if you have a serious heart condition of some sort, you never know when that might trigger a heart attack, but that's a completely separate issue.
But to see that your heart rate slows during the night, don't be concerned it must just decide to stop. It's not an '89 Buick trying to idle on a cold day with 200,000 miles on it and fouled plugs. It won't just peter out.

Unless you have a pre-existing condition like I did.
Believe it or not, but the day I got off the truck back in February 2019 (OMG, that was a year ago!!!), my heart was functioning at around 10 to 15% efficiency. No wonder it was so hard cranking up the landing gear for a few months.
Normal hearts ain't going to just stop, as Brett pointed out.

I’m used to it for the most part. I can fall asleep relatively quickly. I do wake up during the night though, but have no issue falling asleep again.
My apnea was overall determined to be mild. My doctor told me I would not likely see a big difference once I started using the machine.
I’ve noticed that I am able to adjust my breathing to the pressure of the machine, although some nights it’s still a battle.
Last night I got 5-1/2 hours on the machine. The night before 6-1/2. Some nights I barely stand an hour on it. That’s why I “bank” enough time to still stay compliant in insurance and DOT requirements.
The heart rate issue really has me worried. So I will make an effort every night to use the machine.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
