Ok so I'm betting that a similar topic has been posted like if so sorry for beating a dead horse. But me and my wife have fallen on hard times and are quite deep in the hole. We cant move straight into direct deposit because I will be going to orientation broke as a joke and will need money for certain things mostly food and supplies. Do any of you know if I can transfer my paycheck to my regions bank account from my comdata card. If so how easy it to do so.

Many companies can split your direct deposit. You can elect a percentage of your pay to go to your bank account and the remaining percent to be put on your comdata card.

Just a side note... I'm sorry about your financial struggles - I've been broke several times in my life, so I completely understand the difficulties. We try and encourage folks to figure out a way to save a little money before jumping into this career.

There's plenty of stress involved in the lifestyle changes required for this career. One way to relieve a little of that is to make sure you've got your financial obligations covered. I realize that may not be possible for everyone, but it's certainly something that has caused many people to bail out early in their training.

Mike so sorry to hear about your financial issues. I too have been there, it is very stressful. One trap people find themselves in is taking cash advances on the fuel card. That simply put is a advance on your pay that you have not earned yet. People I have seen do this have a tough time getting out from under it once they get behind. Be careful.

Be aware of service fees, too, with transfers and cashing checks. You end up giving more money away.
