Oh don't be fooled........there are people who know exactly what's going on, and someday it will be revealed. Of course, most people have been completely snowed by the relentless blitzkrieg of the media panic engine. But the truth will come out someday.

I don't follow politics, but I follow business and the stock market closely. Yesterday they announced that another 3.8 million people filed for unemployment in the past 7 days, bringing the 6-week total to over 30 million people. Now for those who don't know, CNBC is the stock market and business channel, where you'd expect they might at least spend a few minutes each day talking about business.

But yesterday afternoon, on CNBC's homepage of their website, I did a search and found that neither the word 'unemployed' or 'unemployment' was found even one time on their homepage, but the word "coronavirus" was on the page 45 times!

To Brett: isn't it amazing that people aren't dying of heart attacks, stroke, etc, despite people being too terrified to seek care in an ER from symptoms of these conditions? Oh and my friends are admitting they're not THAT busy at work in the hospitals. Sure they have covid19 patients, but only the sickest enMore about people dying at home and how the deaths are being counted.

Slowly, more medical folks are beginning to speak up and admit that things are not what the media has made it out to be. On Facebook, there's a retired RN who had originally bought in hook, line, and sinker but over the past few weeks has done a complete about-face and is now convinced this entire thing was basically a hoax.

Where Have All the Heart Attacks Gone?

We are all asking: Where are all the patients with heart attacks and stroke? They are missing from our hospitals. In more normal times, we never have so many empty beds.

Our hospital is usually so full that patients wait in gurneys along the walls of the emergency department for a bed to become available on the general wards or even in the intensive care unit. We send people home from the hospital as soon as possible so we can free up beds for those who are waiting. But the pandemic has caused a previously unimaginable shift in the demand for hospital services.

What is striking is that many of the emergencies have disappeared. Heart attack and stroke teams, always poised to rush in and save lives, are mostly idle.

In an informal Twitter poll by @angioplastyorg, an online community of cardiologists, almost half of the respondents reported that they are seeing a 40 percent to 60 percent reduction in admissions for heart attacks; about 20 percent reported more than a 60 percent reduction.

And this is not a phenomenon specific to the United States. Investigators from Spain reported a 40 percent reduction in emergency procedures for heart attacks during the last week of

And it may not just be heart attacks and strokes. Colleagues on Twitter report a decline in many other emergencies, including acute appendicitis and acute gall bladder disease.

The most concerning possible explanation is that people stay home and suffer rather than risk coming to the hospital and getting infected with the coronavirus. This theory suggests that Covid-19 has instilled fear of face-to-face medical care. As a result, many people with urgent health problems may be opting to remain at home rather than call for help. And when they do finally seek medical attention, it is often only after their condition has worsened. Doctors from Hong Kong reported an increase in patients coming to the hospital late in the course of their heart attack when treatment is less likely to be lifesaving.

One of my theories still remains a distinct possibility, that this was a fire drill that had gotten completely out of hand when the media fanned the flames and created a worldwide panic. If it was a fire drill, it was certainly not their intent to panic the entire globe and create an economic meltdown that will take years to recover from.

There are so many theories though. It could be a lot of things. What it is not is some sort of deadly pandemic. They estimate as many as 50 million people died from the Spanish Flu in 1918. That was the real thing. This obviously is not.

Went to Menards today with a client. Had to buy single-use masks for $1 each.

What's wrong with this picture!?!

(I folded it in half to save for possible re-use).

Look closely at the label!
