Here's my response to Coronavirus:

Coronavirus: Don't Panic

According to 'my' sheeples (j/k) you have it set to Private, and we can't view. Just sent the hubby on the road, and was saving this for my 'enjoyment/panic mode' haha!! Check..or maybe its me?

Rob T says:

However many places aren't cancelling schools.

My wife was doing the "happy dance" last night when she got the message that she has "extended" Spring Break through April 3.

BTW, Brett's perspective has been rather enlightening and scary at the same time. I am amazed that the same people who compare Trump to Hitler are incapable of seeing how government actors have manipulated the herd of sheeple.

And BTW, I'm with Packrat and Rick. My son-in-law told me last night "I'm good on AR ammo, I've got like 150 rounds." I'm probably way light on two ammo cans in my safe down stairs.

And I disagree with Brett.

The government won't come for "us" first. They'll do what they're doing now, telling the herd that its all for their own good. The heavily armed people living off the grid won't even be relevant to the tyrants until any of those people try to challenge the tyrants. Remember, Napoleon banished Snowball. He didn't need to "take him out." Tell me if you disagree Rick or Packrat, but as long the heavily armed isolationists are left alone, we have no reason to challenge the tyrants.

Rob T. Y'all are gonna have 'fun' .. (NOT.) Sleep more as you can. Keep us posted.

The only difference I've noticed is instead of having as many multi-stop loads there are many more where a store is taking a full load. I took a 1 store load to Overland Park KS today and there was a line of people waiting at the door when they opened at 5am. As soon as I brought pallet of eggs to the floor people started surrounding me asking for "a few cartons". I told them they need to wait for the dairy manager and then informed him of the situation. I only brought in half a pallet of eggs because our warehouse is being forced to split what we have left between all the stores. The meat department was nearly completely empty and I only brought in half a pallet of fresh (packaged) meat. There were 2 cases that go into the meat counter. We had 5 drivers pickup fresh chicken yesterday and my store didnt get any despite having none on the shelves. The shocker was they actually have half a pallet of toilet paper still shocked.png They're allowing us to run as many hours as we want to as long as we're getting enough rest and we still dont have enough drivers to cover. Today we have somewhere between 12-15 loads that got brokered out to other companies. I may grab another load when I get back today depending if they have anything for me but tomorrow we're going to look at more houses. They're not forcing us to work extra, instead they're offering an extra $100 on top of what you earn that day. The state of iowa (not sure of others) is also not enforcing weight restrictions for trucks. They're now talking about shutting schools down for 4 weeks because there is ONE case in Polk and ONE in Dallas counties (des moines area), 22 total in the state. For a virus that has a mortality rate of roughly 2% it sure is getting a ton more reaction than other illnesses. Heck, I read that Vegas casinos are even shutting down. The one in town here has sent out statements that they're providing gamblers a plastic screen to put over the keys of the slot machines but now theres talk of shutting down a few weeks.

I was just Listening to a morning show in KC and they were discussing the virus. It came time to play a song and what song comes on? Ain't nothin a beer can't fix - Thomas Rhett. Not sure if that was intentional or not but it got a good laugh out of me.

You really think the government would just leave you guys alone? They'll just let heavily armed groups organize, rally, and prepare so you can build yourselves into more formidable forces over time? Our military would take you guys out in seconds. They wouldn't even have to come for you. They can monitor you in any number of high-tech ways and hit you from great distances if they wanted to. This isn't the 1800's.....they're not going to send men on horseback, and they certainly aren't going to just let you be. You're their greatest threat.

We are safer as long as we carry our own ink pen on us.

In OTR trucking you meet very few people on any day. Shipping/receiving and a few truck stop clerks are the only ones you may come into personal contact with. Not like people being Jammed together in an airplane for a couple of hours, or even brushing up against other people in Walmart

I figure truck drivers are safer because of the nature of their job.

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I have my own ink pen holstered with 10 rounds of extra ink cartridges within reach. I'm good!

This is what is so absurd about us thinking there is value in a "well armed militia."

I am a big time sportsman with a firearms collection that rivals most. I have a considerable investment in firearms, mostly high value Italian and German shotguns. I've competed at the national levels in shotgun sports. But... the idea that we citizens can still be considered a well armed militia is ludicrous. The only way you are "well armed" is to have bigger and badder weapons than your perceived threat. We look like we're brandishing toothpicks for weapons when you compare the citizen's arsenal to our government's.

This reminds me of the first few weeks after hurricane Sandy when I lived in Brooklyn. There was a fuel shortage and people were camping out at gas stations waiting for that truck to arrive. The ones that just showed up would wait in line for hours just to be told "sorry, we're all out". Eventually, things went back to normal and nobody thought anything of it.

Today the fuel is hand sanitizer and toilet paper. Neither of those products will protect you from getting sick, so I don't know what the hoardings about. People will panic about not having hand sanitizer, but they'll treat the day like a regular day and it'll be business as usual.

The danger of this virus is that it's airborne and you can be very contagious without showing any symptoms. It's spreading because people aren't capable of just staying to themselves. They have to be social and everybody thinks "it can't happen to me". This is where the government overreach comes into play. People have to be forced to stay home to try to stop this. Hospitals aren't equipped to deal with half the population getting sick.

Idk the exact numbers, but there are a lot of people dealing with underlying issues that would make getting coronavirus a lot worse. Issues like heart disease and diabetes combined with coronavirus can cause death. You can get a flu shot thats effective in stopping the flu, but there isn't anything that prevents you from catching this.

Anyone who says stuff like this has most likely never been in the military.

If ANY order was given to invade or attack Americans IN AMERICA, the military would fragment. You'd have those that would follow orders and those that would break away and attack anybody who would attack Americans. And there would be SUBSTANTIAL numbers that would resist illegal orders to attack Americans.
