Ok, re read your initial post. Tennessee. It’s def in the map.Yeah I would just call to clarify. If the site is up to date all you should need is your permit. I have heard that tmc doesn’t charge you much as some other companies or anything for their paid program program. Good luck, get on that high road training! And good luck
I didn’t pick up which state you were from, are you in their eligible for paid training areas. It is different from their hiring area. Also, they may change it based on current needs without updating their site. Best bet, just call them back and clarify. That will take all the guesswork out. They are pretty straight forward .
I’m in Tennessee, so I’m in their hiring area... I called Dawn back after she left an email requiring more info, got her voicemail... Thanks for info and help...
Tim,
I've copied this from TMC's webpage regarding what you need before you attend their trianing:

we've all been there and understand what you're feeling. You'll have many times throughout your first year you question why you're doing it and want to quit after you finish that load. We're here to give you advice and encourage you to push on. The job will still be stressful at times but you'll get to the point of finding it hard to believe you're earning so much money for being able to see so much of the country. As an OTR driver most new drivers struggle with being away from family and possibly missing birthdays and holidays. There are a ton of different ways to use your class A CDL so I encourage you to at least give it a year. After a year of safe driving you will have more opportunities to get home more frequently if that's what you desire. Personally I like being home daily but my routes have become pretty repetitive and it gets boring. Other drivers here love OTR and have spent many years doing it and couldn't imagine driving the same highways every day. It's all a matter of finding what you prefer. TMC is a very solid choice and most people who have posted here were very happy there. TMC was my first choice had I gone the OTR route.

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
