Mitchell,
Just spoke with my recruiter who confirmed that we are still on for orientation Wednesday.
She also mentioned that each driver will have their own motel room and that they will limit group sizes to no more than 10 people in a room.
Enjoy your drive from Louisiana and I look forward to meeting you at orientation on Wednesday.
Rob.
Good to know, mine didn't pick up the 3 times i called her so i called and talked to a random recruiter and was told the same thing.
Kearsey, i plan on watching your videos more when i have time, i started watching them from your first video so it might take a while, i suppose it's something i'll do while on the road!
Just Mitch, that's also good to hear, it would make things a lot easier for me just being out most of the year until i decide where i want to live, i'm pretty sick of Louisiana, i was thinking Utah or Nebraska. So pretty much a mini goal to work towards.
And Turtle, thanks man, i'm sure i'll need it, pretty much going into the unknown, or feels like it!
Wow Mitchell C. If you're going company at prime and not going home dispatch will love it. I have been staying out 6 weeks at a time. The only real question you need to ask yourself is how long can you run. Even I will get a hotel with indoor pool and all amenities every 2 to 3 weeks. Not really happened lately too busy but did from start and will again. Gotta get out of truck sometimes. Training will be rough and probably let you know your breaking point. From there you can decide what your burnout level is. When I take a day off on road I choose wisely sky is the limit. Had a weekend in Vegas. Hiked in the Pacific northwest nice waterfalls. Stayed at a resort in Yuma Az and visited sand dunes. Gotta get out and have fun. Currently at Springfield terminal waiting on load home cause its holy week . If anyone else here at Prime terminal hit me up.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
40 days issues an open invitation:

I plan to be at the Campus Inn no later than 4:00 p.m.
However, before I take you up on your offer to meet up, I plan to read through anything that they give me when I check in. If there is something that says "thou shall NOT be within 6 feet of any Prime drivers other than your trainer," I'm not getting sent home even before I start orientation.

They checked my temp when I arrived and everything.

Yep, she checked my temp also, 98.1, she was talking kind of fast and she wrote directions on map upside down so i was wandering looking for C2 lol
As i drove through Arkansas i loved the view of the hillside but hated the roads, the ups and down, sharp curves and turns, it felt like i was flying 🤣 not to mention the amount of road work they were doing.
40 days and Mitchell,
I've checked in, gotten my bearings, and completed the Federal Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse process.
Other the red STOP signs reminding of the pandemic and a prohibition of having more than 10 people in a room, I haven't seen any prohibitions against congregating.
Let me know if you guys want to meet up.
Rob.
I am.on my way to Sprimo 😁 should be there fri/saturday.... truck needs shop
