So as life has it I had to wait to fulfill my dream and get my cdl. But I am finally at a point of pushing anything out of the way and just doing it. I would like to know a list of companies that I can get my cdl through and that offer some kind of pay while I get my cdl. Other things to keep in mind is i would like to be home most weekends and consistent pay and miles. Along with manual transmission as i dont want any part of an automatic unless i have no choice. Thank you in advance for the help

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

After you go through all of that you will probably have more questions.
