It makes just about as much sense as heading North from Chicago when you want to get to Laredo. It never works.
well technically you'll eventually make it there by going north

Ten T's approach in here is very common on trucking forums. Some struggling rookies think it's smart to jump in with a bunch of professionals and make derogatory comments about training practices and trucking schools. They expect us to validate their concerns, because surely they sound like real truckers by talking that way. After all, that's how most truckers on the internet talk.
It really shakes them when they realize, "Whoa, these guys are different!" They don't have a clue how to walk back their comments, so they just usually resort to name calling and cussing. It's so predictable it's almost comical.
We are different. It's something we're proud of - it's called integrity. We gladly seek out those who genuinely want to become successful professionals at trucking. We help them by mentoring them with the proper approach to this career. We've never met a competent professional driver who complained, blamed, and criticized their way into a successful trucking career. It's just not a path that leads to success.
Every truck driver understands that getting to your destination involves a plan of action. You don't get to Laredo, TX from Chicago, IL by going North. You look at your Atlas and you follow a route that gets you there safely and expeditiously. It's the same when attempting a new career in trucking. You follow a plan. You choose a path that's proven to be effective. You may not think it's ideal, but you sure don't want to show your ignorance by constantly pointing out everything about it that you deem as incompetent.
A little humility goes a long way as you approach a trucking career. Ten T has convinced himself he's a victim. He's been cheated, mistreated, and abused. He's now looking for "justice." He's complaining, blaming, and criticizing everybody he's come in contact with on his personal journey into trucking. We offered some counsel. We certainly know how to be successful at this, but he's decided we're not worth hearing either.
We're really enjoying great trucking careers. We are earning some of the nation's top trucking salaries. We are content with our careers. He, on the other hand, is clearly miserable and misguided. It's a real head scratcher!
Folks, I hope I don't sound condescending. That's far from my purpose. We thought Ten T wanted some help, maybe some sound advice. It became quickly evident that he just wanted validation. I want you guys to see what happens to people that take his approach. It makes just about as much sense as heading North from Chicago when you want to get to Laredo. It never works.
