So far today I went through our ELD class, cleared up a mistake from my truck turn in and now I'm told, I'm waiting for my recruiter to do something. Already shot her an email. Hurry up and wait is part of trucking.

It helps to make friends with the right people. CFI has most people working from home. The recruiting area is empty, the dispatch area is empty, it's like a ghost town. There are about 3 or 4 people handling all the hiring.

While waiting, in walks my recruiter friend. I asked him if he knew how to get what I needed. He said come with me. We went back to the main building, to the empty recruiter area. He made stuff happen.

It turns out I was the only rehire today that they were able to hire.

I am now a CFI employee again.

So today I got a truck. Just like the one I had before. It has added up to a crazy day. The truck is now in the shop because the check engine light came on. There are a couple of cosmetic items inside that they will fix as well. I hope to be rolling in the morning. My new truck number is 38356.
