From the cb conversation I overheard it sounded like they are very busy.
The other day I passed a steel company and 8 TMC trucks were sitting there to load. From the cb conversation I overheard it sounded like they are very busy.
I passed a TMC truck today at the Utah/Nevada border area.
I see their trucks everywhere I travel.
TMC's school in Des Moines is only about a mile south of where I report to work. I continue to see their academy students out and about. It's hard to say if they have less students currently but I still see them all over town with jersey barriers chained down. TMC wouldn't be bringing students in and putting more trucks on the road if they didn't have the loads to keep them moving. My only advice is practice basic hygiene habits and you should be ok. You may have a delivery that gets pushed way back due to being shut down due to an outbreak but TMC wouldn't make you sit on a load for 2 weeks. Instead they'll instruct you to drop the trailer at a certain place and grab an empty to keep moving. When you're not turning miles you and the company are both not earning any money.

Thanks for the guidance Old School! I’ve wanted to give flatbed a shot for awhile and finally have the opportunity. The recruiter emailed me asking when I wanted to get started. I’m excited, nervous, and need to pick a start date.
