Who knows what I’m getting ready to do with these? Any guesses?

Ugh, setting in the terminal waiting for the new EDGE tablet to be installed , replacing my Qualcomm. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it IMO. Hoping they don’t find anything wrong with my truck during that process! Don’t want to be shut down any longer than I have to. I do NOT like setting around at terminals. Not a fan of Lithia springs or the greater ATL area.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

Have you tried releasing your tractor brakes while hooked to a trailer, with the trailer brakes engaged?

That's what I do if the truck doesn't want to idle for me.

Papa Pig,

Just so you know, although I don't always comment I do follow this thread and also appreciate your comments on my Rookie Solo Thread.

Really liked the "this is my fifth-wheel puller, there are many like it, but this one is mine."

Boy I tell you those boat loads sure were easy compared to some of the stuff that I have hauled. But I would haul shingles any day. Quick and easy.

This was a fun back to do around midnight last night. All the parking lot lights were off. But at least there were no cars
