Take a load off and find a nice City position with an LTL near your home. I put in 54 hours this week and grossed about $1800. Home every night.

Today I’m Doing something rare. Got my load rather early and it delivers at 6 am in the morning. Once I looked at the store I realized that I couldn’t get there before 10pm tonight to park because the unloading area is essentially right in the main parking lot. So here I am , waiting in a truck stop, doing a split. Sooooo boring lol. I’m used to driving , working, turn and burn. I don’t know how some drivers just hang out in a truck stop all day. I tried to nap a little bit but don’t want to mess up my sleep pattern for tonight. To kill the time I’m watching the fuel island and it’s hilarious lol. Sooooo many A$$h@les. What do y’all do to kill time? This is new for me lol.

Been an interesting couple of weeks. Delivered to a lot of new stores that I haven’t been too before. I had 3 stores in a row that I had to blindside back off the road to get into the loading area.

In Chattanooga there was a drive by in front of my truck while i was unloading. I heard about 6-8 gun shots. I looked up to see if there were any holes in the trailer and upon seeing the absence of them I continued to unload. I didn’t realize the severity of the shots until I was finished and realized I was blocked in by police and ambulances. Grabbed some bbq from across the street and watched the show.

Only ex-military on crazy people (I know kinda redundant) would do this.

I was less worried about the gunshots than some of the tight blindside backs.

I had a sweep (picking up empties)on Wednesday. They tack these on at the end of your deliveries. This certain store had a parking area adjacent to the loading/unloading area and I had no choice but to block a few customers in. Specifically a white truck. I figured when he came out I would move and let him out. Clock was ticking and I waited long enough. I had been loading up for about 5 minutes and this dude comes out and says “hey , how long you gonna be”!? I tell him to wait a sec and I will move out of the way. When I get up to the front of the cab fulling intending on moving he is taking pictures of my truck and puts his phone down when he sees me. I ask if I can help him with something and he starts saying how I shouldn’t be parked there yada yada. Bad attitude. I just smile and say sorry just doing my job. He sees me get open my cab and then gets in his truck expecting to move. I grab my cigarettes, go back to the rear of the trailer and take a smoke while loading up the last 6 empties. 😂🤣 . I don’t know if he called My company or not but tbh it was worth it. I’m not gonna cuss at you or fight you, I’m too lazy for that ... but I think this move got my point across.
