So i was scanning a fuel receipt today for july 21st. Of 2020 So i will show you the last 3 years of 21july. That is 2018 , 2019 and 2020..,,,

$1.849 per gallon on 21july2020

19july2019 or 22july2019 your choice ( didnt get fuel on 21st last year) 19july2019 was $2.789, and $2.869. 22july2019 was $2.879

2018 july 21st $3.039

Thats a pretty typical example and pattern.

According to yearly average is the cost of diesel was lowest in 2016 and went up in 17, 18 and 19

Holy craps. I didnt realize our discounts were that huge. I figured owner ops would be in that "fleet card" type of discount I see advertised at the pumps. Makes me wonder how some of these guys getting 5mpg are able to afford $2 and $3 per gallon.

To my knowledge Prime has the best fuel price in the industry. My company isn’t near as helpful. I basically get 10 percent off the cash pump price. FSC doesn’t makeup for it unless your pulling at least 7 mpg. I pull on average 5.5 overall, but still make good money. However my loads are priced much better than box freight.

All receipts show pre discount costs and once you get bill from comdata it can be lower. Loves has an absolute max discount of 12 cents per gallon But you get charged $1 for crossover fee if you are using comdata so the discount goes to first 8.5 gallons.

The reason I show the actual receipts is so everything is apples to apples. So that parrothead66 can see real data .

So getting back on the tracks here, this is the huge benefit of having become energy independent as a country.

I average a little over 7mpg and IFTA owes me a lot every quarter. The next truck i buy will have a 12 speed automated but thats not for a while i think.

Not representative of actual prices at the pump. That is bulk rate before it reaches the trucks and not the gov data . Ever filed ifta?

Parrothead66,

I haven’t seen that first one department of energy so give me a few minutes maybe I am incorrect.

I can tell you over the last three years with the price I’m paying it is slower as I showed you With actual fuel receipts.

So I’m going to try and figure out why there’s a huge disparity between white I pay and what those charts show , is.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I see 2018 is greatly different than 2017 and my data starts in 2018 so we may not even be having the same conversation. It looks like 2018 has the highest cost and then it comes back down words which is what my fuel receipts show. As a company driver I didn’t pay attention to fuel cost prior to 2018.

Agree 100 percent, we will either show that we as a nation will tolerate the mob violence we see on the news each night or we want law, order and jobs.

This election is either, mobs or jobs. Period.
