With these links you fill out one application and your information is sent to numerous companies. We strongly feel that the large carriers are the best places to work. Being in MN you shouldn't have a problem getting hired anywhere. Plenty of freight heading through there. I know Swift has a terminal in Inver Grove Heights (where I grew up!), and Wild Bill got hired by Roehl and has since switched to a local position with them on the west side of the twin cities. Terminal location doesn't matter, I just use it as a reference to show you amount of freight going through an area. They wouldn't have a terminal in an area they don't have freight.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Correction : according to google reviews the swift terminal building is closed and is now just used as a drop lot. Its located down the street from the Pilot truck stop off hwy 52/55 near the refinery on the south side of IGH. It doesn't change anything, just wanted to make sure the info I gave you is correct.
