Laura yep. Elk mountain lol
The winds forecasts said it was 12mph. Bullcrap it was. Then the overhead said 40mph gusts. Im too light.. So.. Shutdown. Right after all the warnings lit up on my phone but we were already parked. Always trust your gut.
You guys were right behind me. I made it through to Brigham city before it got bad tho. Sitting here til 8am tomorrow to deliver at the Walmart down the road

Was on WY 28 when the signs on the road said 60 + mph winds! Had gone a little ways when a pilot car had me pull off in a turnout so an oversized tank of some kind could go by. I asked about the winds and he said they weren't that strong so I continued on until I came to Little America. Long day so I parked with an hour left. Left at 1400 today and got into SLC at 1700 to nice blue skies and no wind :-)

Are you delivering at the Corrine WallyWorld DC? That's the only DC I've been to that allows you to check in 2 hours early... Most are only an hour and North Platte NE used to be only allow 30 minutes...haven't been there in a couple of years.
The winds in Wyoming had started back up about noon...but once I got into the canyon (as I call it) it wasn't bad.
Laura
Yep sitting at the Corinne DC now. Gonna call my p/u in Ogden n see if they can load me before tomorrow morning n hopefully head back east for home.
Wow ! Can’t believe I missed this! Congratulations, five years, awesome! No one has helped me as much as u have in trucking! When my first choice didn’t work out, u pointed me to prime. U were there calling checking on me in orientation. I had 4 trainers at prime psd , pad, and 2 tnt trainers and once I left there trucks I deleted their phone numbers. My first night of snow driving in Illinois, I called u ! Couldn’t find parking, just scared, or feeling dumb, u were always just a phone call away, and would stay on the phone with me till I worked something out. I owe u a lot, u were there for me out the goodness of your heart and I shall never forget. Thank u !
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.
Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.
The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.
The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14¢ per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.

So sorry I missed this. Sincerest congratulations to you! I’ve shared your success story with many people going through the Swift system, especially women. Happy you are an integral part of the TT family! Some day we’ll get that selfie...for posterity’s sake!
Fantastic accomplishment. Happy for you. Here’s to another 5!

I am so proud of you. We both had rough starts but you are out there killing it. I dont remember the IL snow but I do remember one night you were parking at walmart and almost out of hours. You let out a huge sigh when you finally parked. I was well acquainted with that relief of a new driver lol
I still call to check on you but you dont need me anymore!!!
So glad we can all make the industry a better place one driver at a time.
