Papa after reading through all his replies all of us see the bigger picture for what it really is. I’m not sure if I should be offended by some of his comments or not.
It is for sure he doesn’t know much about us around here or the industry as a whole.

You mean like blocking replies that do not suit your narrative? Pathetic for real...

I've been blocking your replies because you've had nothing worthwhile to say. You know, like this last one and the ten before that. You've received great advice, so I'm glad you're reading it. If you have more questions, please ask. We'll be happy to answer them.
This guys YouTube has a lot of different backing scenarios and instruction. While not actual time behind the wheel It helped me a great deal and would be good information for you or anyone who is struggling to learn angles and trailer response. Remember setup is key, try to point the darn thing at the hole you want to get it in before you ever go in reverse. Don’t oversteer like you are in a sailing ship in a storm. If your setup isn’t correct, figuring out how to adjust. Hope this helps a bit

Chris I will share this with you. Brett has a very high tolerance and all of us welcome debate. It will be conducive and not be in the ditch. There is no narrative here. Many of us don’t always agree, however we express or positions in a proffessional manner. That is what proffessionals do.
Based on some of your comments posted here you need to look inward. You could be the best driver on the planet and get released for a bad attitude or perceived as being difficult to deal with. Perception is reality, right or wrong.
There is more to this career than driving. You are the face of the company to all you encounter. There is certainly no shortage of drivers at the stage you are currently at.
We wish you the best moving forward with your career.
Hello,
I will say that I am in no way a professional at backing a big rig. I'm still waiting to to get an orientation date after getting my cdl. But I do know a lot about backing in general. Before I went to get my cdl , I was a yard jockey for 4 years. Even with all that experience, I still struggled with a few details in CDL school while backing, specifically with a blind side Parallel park. IT took my lead instructor jumping up on the steps of the truck and blocking my driver side mirror before the lesson took hold in my head. Backing is all about practice, I won't repeat what more experienced and wiser posters have said already, but training and learning is up to you. While I was the most experienced in my class with backing, I was out there every day, while not in the truck, but I was helping my classmates.
The biggest pearl of wisdom I know about backing in general is this, until you get it straight in your head which way to turn the wheel to steer the trailer (And yes I mean steer the trailer, or as my instructors said, drive the trailer) the rest will never come. Once you have that straight in your head and how to use your mirrors, the rest is repetition, timing and experience, and all of it takes effort to learn and that's up to you.
Hope it helps.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
I think we all know who the problem really was in Chris' situation, and it wasn't his trainer at Werner.
So far so good they told me to complete these videos and will spend time doing just that. Swift seems like the place that is better organized than werner and just dont wanna sit next to a bunch of super truckers who brag about backing while scratching their huge gut and picking their black teeth. I will get backing and I dont have to be in the good ole boys club to get it. Thanks for your reply and actually being sincere. Will let you know my progress.
Bro are you serious?? What are you gon to do when the Esther changes and starts pushing your truck around or your gps sends you down a dead end one way and you have to back up and can’t??? Everyone on here has given us new guys whether it’s something you wanna hear or not!! Great advice !!!! They’ve all gone above above and beyond to figure out exactly what you need and you still pouting like a lil kid I make mine stand in the corner when they act like that . If you truly want this you’ll get it!! But when something don’t work fix it!! Don’t point fingers it’s a waste of time !! Good luck and it sounds like your gonna have to figure it out on your own!!

Chris C. How is Werner not organized? So the thousands of drivers that they have on the road and made it through training are in the good ol boy club? Or big gutted black toothed super truckers? I think I know EXACTLY what happened with your training now. If you think Swift is going to do what they can to make you successful you are right, if you think that Swift (Or any company) is going to hold your hand you are in for a not so pleasant reality. Sincerely , good luck
