I’m new man do I don’t really know how much an inverter cost or where to have 1 put in
Hey Mikey b . Does westerns trucks come with refrigetors already or do I need to buy 1 and I hear this is peak season for shipping so that being said how do I get my dm to keep me rolling so I can keep the checks flowing I need to figure out time management and such just any tips you can bless me with I’ll really appreciate them!! I’m excited for this I’m starting out dry van then go from there
Congratulations, Western Express may not pay as much as some but they take care of their equipment, you will have newer trucks, plenty of miles and not do much sitting around. Are you dry van or flatbed? Any questions feel free to ask.
No the trucks are pretty bare bones. They tried the bells and whistles and people started stealing. They do not allow fridges but they do allow max 400 watt inverter any Coleman electric cooler

No. Georgia Mike hit it right on the head. The trucks are as bare bones as they can get. You will have a wall mount for a tv and that's about it , there's a coax antenna hookup and a basic antenna built in. I have a hard wired 2000 watt inverter with a 300amp inline breaker installed in my truck along with a 40qt igloo iceless cooler (works great btw) a microwave, instapot, tv, 12v fan etc in my truck. The inverter has been seen and discussed at 5 terminals and nobody has complained about it. I installed it right however so it's not gonna burn the truck to the ground.
As far as the miles, you can expect anywhere from 1800-3300 per week. The best way to get your DM to keep you moving is to prove you can handle SAFE ontime pick up and delivery. My last 8 weeks miles starting last week working back are 2626, 2846, 2651, 2279, 2492, 2735, 2718, 3308. And I take a reset every weekend. Some weeks are less some are more but 2500 is pretty good. If you are consistently getting less than 2000 every week you are doing something wrong. DO NOT FALL FOR THE LEASE PURCHASE. Take your time, dont ever feel rushed during turns or parking, traffic can and will wait. Watch your right turns, move the mirror if needed but right turns where you didn't have enough room and clipped something with the right side of the tandems or trailer is the number one reason for newbie accidents.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
A set of axles spaced close together, legally defined as more than 40 and less than 96 inches apart by the USDOT. Drivers tend to refer to the tandem axles on their trailer as just "tandems". You might hear a driver say, "I'm 400 pounds overweight on my tandems", referring to his trailer tandems, not his tractor tandems. Tractor tandems are generally just referred to as "drives" which is short for "drive axles".
