Whatever you bring will be sleeping in a twin size bed with you. So if you can live with it on your bed it shouldnt be a problem.

As a company driver I have a lot less pressure so i dont run as hard even in TNT. I personally think I train in a more relaxong way than most lease ops. But I have heard company trainers running really hard too.

TNT:

Trainer-N-Trainee

Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.

The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.

The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14¢ per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.

Hi, Latifah. As far as I know you will not be able to choose what kind of truck you want as a company driver with Prime. My first truck was an International. I'd never been in an International before, yet that is what I was given. Luck of the draw. My next truck was a Freightliner.

As far as TNT goes; I let my students run their full clock when they drive. When I drive, I leave it up to the student to decide how soon they want to drive. If they are awake and want to drive as soon as their 10hr reset is over, I'll let them start their shift. If they want to wait until I've used up all my time, that is fine too. Also, let's say we are like 12 or more hours early to an appointment and we have to wait at a truck stop; If my student drove to the place we are going to spend more than 10 hours at, I will give them the option of driving again when we have to go to our appointment. Basically skipping my turn in the rotation. Usually the student is eager to drive as much as possible and will want to drive again. I think it's important to let a student make as many of their own decisions as they can. Choosing when to drive, where to stop, etc. I think it is good for a student to have some input and sense of control during training.

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

He is a good trainer lol. I do the same kind of. I dont necessarily have them run full clocks. Yesterday dispatch was having internet issues and loads were few on Sunday. We are parked at Railroad Pass Casino Hotel Truck Stop in Henderson NV. All I needed to hear was loads were few and I got us a hotel suite and a fabulous steak dinner. Maureen will.have a 34 in a few hours so by the end of her shift i will too.

With this new HOS that pauses the 14 after 2 hours of off duty we seem to be getting longer than our 10 hour breaks and getting more rest but still running.

I drive mostly nights and stop and take 2 to 4 hour naps. I do this solo too but it allows me to be up if the student has questions and I can teach more.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Well I heard you've been referring all your students to a certain YouTube channel if there is ever a question!
