Good job at reaching out bro they will give you the truth and facts to back them up even if it’s something you don’t wanna hear but they will steer you right they’ve done very well by me and I’m know on the road with a trainer good luck in your soon to be adventure

So guess what! A recruiter from Prime just reached out to me and it turns out the reason my application was rejected, was because I indicated that I couldn’t test for my CDL permit in my home state until December. We are going to reconnect when I get closer to my test date and she will advise me on when to reapply. So it turns out it IS possible to apply too early! Thanks again to all for your help!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
