Last night I got a suite and my trainee and I had an awesome steak dinner at the Railroad Pass Hotel/ Casino in Henderson NV.

This morning we were given a load to pick up in Riverside California and deliver in SC. Yay!! It is getting us home.

The weather alerts from here to there say up to 40mph winds and isolated 80mph gusts!!! shocked.png

Looks like we might be having steak here tonight too.

Come over to Amarillo where I'm shut down, and the three of us can go share a 72 ounce steak up the street.

Yeah, I'm with Packrat on this. Spread some of that steak dinner love around to everyone! Who knew that literally trucking along with Kearsey would be so tasty? And thanks for the wind warnings.

Got a question on another topic. Just got a load from PA to Ogden, UT. Not even going to try i80. And i70 does not look promising either.

Any suggestions about what is the best route to take up to Ogden from i40 in Arizona? I'm looking at taking us191 north from Chambers, AZ.

You can take US 491 in Gallup NM and go past one of my favorite truck stops in UTE Mountain. It leads to US 191, then 70 for a short time and US 6 to 15.

Us 6 does have a chain us section too

I have gone that way several times but Lop has the most places to shutdown

Hey, Thanks, Kearsey! We will take the route you suggested.

Yeah it’s windy here my trainer says we’re not gonna take the 40 but take the 10 when we head out fed ex having hard time getting load completed due to freight being held up beacause of the win

40 is a mess! I left Grants, NM this morning and shut down in Amarillo. I had freezing rain, sleet, ice fog, snow, and 50+ mph wind gusts into, and out of, Albuquerque. The final 15 miles into the Petro was about a 20 mph crawl.

Here's some scenery I encountered from 50 to 20 miles west of Amarillo:

Check out the national weather radar. Huge storm heading east, so it's gonna suck no matter which way you travel for a couple of days.

Great!! Left Miami headed back to XPO in San Antonio, then who knows where....Co driver got pics from home in Muscoy. His huge pepper tree was blown over, roots n all across the driveway. Family told him 95 mph winds, they are along the 215 at base of mountains near Cajon Pass

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
