"Company approved parking" equates to a truck stop. I am dispatched out of MO..i live in NJ.... My closest terminal is 150 miles away.
I park at a TA 2 miles from home. Many drivers never go to a terminal.... I drive through them to get the trailers inspected
NJ is so high in taxes and cost of living that i think everyone should leave.
The only reason I mention it is because my terminal (Knight) was always... cagey about parking away from the terminal.

It all depends on the company. My gf worked for stevens for a year. They said their closest approved parking was 100 miles from the house. My place is also my businrss address. I had to submit photo’s and write a letter to their safety director showing she had safe legal parking at home. It was kinda nuts, but I understand they want to make sure their equipment is safe.
After she left them I received an email asking if I was still interested in being listed ss an approved parking atea for them. I politely asked them too remove my address.
